Introducing our Mission-in-Action Plan
The Mission-in-Action Plan (MAP) for L’Arche Homefires has been developed to guide the community over the next four years. The creation of the MAP began in January 2024 with a review of the organization involving the entire Homefires community. Together, we identified strengths, areas of learning and growth, and aspects requiring more attention.
The MAP was created in consultation with people from within and outside of our community. It outlines the community’s goals for the next four years, the desired impact, and how we’ll achieve these goals. The MAP team included representation from our leaders, core members, assistants, and Board members. The team met regularly over three months to draft the plan, consult with various groups, and present the final MAP to the community for approval during our Annual General Meeting on June 26, 2024.
Each month, our community council will discuss which areas we think are important to focus on, given what is happening in the community at the time, and send an email of focus and action plans to move forward. We will continue to foster a culture of engagement by providing feedback, addressing concerns, and celebrating achievements along the way.
